The challenges of COVID-19 continue, but cancer remains the leading cause of death in Canada and funds for research are as critical as ever. Being able to effectively and efficiently treat cancer patients can alleviate hospital over-capacity issues and treating cancer in as many patients as possible helps those who are immuno-compromised and at greater risk if infected with COVID-19. Plus, clinical trials for life-changing cancer treatments that started prior to the pandemic need funding to continue across Canada.
One in two Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The work being done at The Princess Margaret aims to detect cancers earlier, find new and less invasive treatments, and improve the overall quality of life for anyone living with cancer. It’s a cause that’s important to me, and I’d greatly value your support.
This will be my 14th year riding for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. And we desperately need you help!
